Lisa Pitney
Lisa was a long-time member of our chorus in the baritone section when we were named the Prairie Echoes. From May 2013-June 2015 was a member of the regional management team as Financial Coordinator, putting her accounting and spreadsheet skills to work! In 2018, Midwest Harmony Region 3 gave Lisa the Spirit of Harmony Award in recognition of her volunteering as the Judge’s Page for the last six years at the annual Regional Competitions.
In 2018, HarmonEssence was very blessed to have Lisa come and lend her voice to our harmony. In October, our previous director resigned, and Lisa stepped in as interim director to help us put on a successful Christmas show. That same December, Lisa graduated from Northern Illinois University with her Master of Accounting Science degree.
Her positivity and love of music and song come through in everything thing she does. She was hired as our Musical Director in March 2019. HarmonEssence also selected her that year as their Woman of Note recipient, a recognition awarded at the Winter Regional Educational School each year.
In 2020, she completed the Director Certification Program through Sweet Adelines International and has achieved the level of Certified Director. Lisa is a member of the Midwest Harmony Region 3 Finance Committee and the Sweet Adelines International Song Assessment of Organizational Materials Task Force.
Lisa and her husband Bill, along with their sons Liam and Quin, and fur babies Beau and Patch, live in DeKalb. She works at Northern Illinois University and HarmonEssence is proud to call her our director!
